Coronavirus FAQ

We are taking a very wide range of measures to ensure the event will be safe for all to attend. We are aiming to run our events from July onwards when all legal COVID-19 measures have been removed from law – including social distancing, the 2 metre rule, the rule of 6 and mandatory mask wearing.

We encourage all attendees to follow government advise; don’t attend if you have symptoms, practice good hand hygeine and give people space where possible. If government guidelines change, then we will update all ticket holders with the new information.

Below are answers to the most common questions. If you have a question that isn’t listed here, then please email us at registrations@animeleague.com.

Q – Is the event still going ahead?

A- Yes. If we are selling tickets for the event, then we are going ahead with it. We stop selling tickets when we know the event can’t happen on those dates. Please see below for our procedure if the event gets postponed or cancelled due to further lockdowns.

Q – What happens if the event is cancelled due to another lockdown (be it national or local)?

A – In such an occasion we will announce postponed dates. If for any reason you are unable to make the new dates then you would be entitled to a full refund.

A – Yes, but we advise you to pay by card if possible.

Q – Will I need to wear a face covering?

A – We are planning to run this event after all legal restrictions are removed, including the use of masks in public places. The use of masks won’t be mandatory. However, we do encourage you to use a mask and practice good hygeine to prevent the spead of viruses.

Q – Will I need a vaccine passport, proof of a negative test, proof of vaccination etc. to enter?

A – We are waiting for the government to debate this issue, and to provide guideance for large events. If you need a vaccine passport or negative test to enter, then we will let you know in advance of the event. In the event that we need to implement any such checks, please be aware that the event opening times may be adjusted to ensure this is implemented smoothly, and queue times may increase as a result of extra checks on the door.

Q – Will I need to take part in Track and Trace?

A – Yes, we encourage everyone to take part in Track and Trace. If you buy tickets online then we will automatically use your email details to trace you if we need to. Your email will be held for 21 days to aid track and trace. If you pay on the day then we will ask for your email or contact number on the door.
